Public access to Somatic Meditation workshops meet on some Friday’s, see events menu for details.

Our somatic meditation group programs meet on different days for each level. Level one meets on Tuesday’s 3pm PST, accessed through The Self Healer Community. Levels 2 and 3 meet on Sunday mornings and level 4 meets on Friday afternoon.

There are two duration phases. The Self Healer Community is the first phase meant for beginners to learn somatic and relationship skills and embody grounding. A person will stay a few weeks to a few months to learn the skills. Phase 2 is the mature attachment program a 16-month guided transformation for full system integration. Most who complete this program love it and decide to take it a second time.

Somatic meditation groups will be offered in Rockwall, Texas as soon as a hosting site is determined.

Sol Heals Somatic Meditation is different from traditional mindfulness because it gives your mind and body something to do. Mindfulness teaches people to be present, watch their thoughts, and let them pass. However, this can challenge a new meditator when the mind or ego keeps jumping in with fear, worry, stories, or old patterns.

Somatic Meditation uses body awareness, energy-based practices, and guided visualization to help calm the mind, ego and settle the nervous system. Instead of trying to force the mind to be quiet, you are gently guided to work with what is happening inside.

As your body feels safer and your mind settles, it becomes easier to be present, mindful, and connected to yourself.

Meditation can be helpful, but deep meditation is not always the right choice in every moment.
Please pause meditation if you feel unsafe, highly overwhelmed, disconnected from reality, intoxicated, or in a serious mental health crisis.

You may also want to pause or speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you are experiencing new mental health symptoms, strong dissociation, medication changes, substance use, emotional flooding, or confusion.

If meditation becomes distressing, stop the practice and use grounding instead. Open your eyes, feel your feet, look around the room, name what you see, and return to the present moment.

Sol Heals meditations are for personal growth and self-awareness. They are not a replacement for therapy, medical care, or crisis support. For serious concerns, please contact a qualified healthcare or mental health professional.

Yes. In fact, Sol Heals Somatic Meditation can be very helpful for overthinkers because it does not ask you to force your mind to be blank.
Many people struggle with traditional meditation because their mind keeps thinking, analyzing, planning, or worrying. In Sol Heals Somatic Meditation, we gently give the mind something supportive to focus on.

The practices use somatics, bioenergetics, visualization, and inquiry to guide your attention into the body. This helps the mind slow down, the nervous system settle, and the ego feel less in charge.

Instead of fighting your thoughts, you learn how to work with them, soften the inner noise, and reconnect with a deeper sense of calm, presence, and self-awareness.

You don’t need to have any prior experience with meditation in order to fully benefit from somatic meditation because it is a very friendly style to use for beginners and supports depth for advanced meditators. The best place to start is attend an event and if you like it join The Self Healer Community to get beginning meditation skills down. Everything is well guided so you will be meditating like a pro within a few months.

Start small and make it easy. A simple way is to add a few minutes of meditation to something you already do each day, like waking up, drinking tea, taking a lunch break, or getting ready for bed.

When meditation is connected to a routine you already have, it becomes easier to remember.
Many people become more consistent once they start feeling the relief meditation brings. As your body begins to feel calmer, safer, and more settled, you may naturally want to come back to the practice.

Sol Heals groups also help because you are not doing it alone. The live groups give you guidance, support, and a regular place to practice. Over time, this can help meditation feel less like another task and more like something your body begins to enjoy.
